Some basic rules that were used by Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo to achieve beauty in paintings apply in cosmetic lip treatments:

The width of a mouth should be 1.6 times width of lower nose.
The corners of the mouth should be at a line dropped from the innermost iris (colored part of the eye) edge.
The upper lip can be slightly smaller than lower lip (1 to 1.6 ratio). However, some of our Hispanic or African American customers prefer a 1 to 1 ratio of upper to lower lip.

Juvéderm Ultra

PDO threads are also excellent for smokers who are starting to develop upper lip lines, as PDO threads help prevent and treat these. They last the longest and stimulate collagen, so the effect lasts and lasts even after they are gone. Dr. Giyaur believes that everyone should be getting PDO threads to prevent lip aging. They work best in combination with lip fillers and Botox.
