What are fillers?

Dermal fillers are injectables that restore the volume in your face. After age 20, you start losing collagen — one of your skin’s main building blocks every year. This leads to gradual facial changes like fine lines, nasolabial folds (smile lines), and lip thinning.

Dermal fillers add volume to those areas from under the skin, essentially replacing the collagen you’ve lost. So, dermal fillers can help you look younger while retaining your own unique facial features.

What areas do fillers treat?

Dermal fillers can:

  • Smooth nasolabial folds
  • Restore cheek volume
  • Restore lip volume
  • Plump lips
  • Define lip borders
  • Eliminate fine lines in the lips (smoker’s lines)
  • Define cheekbones
  • Lightly lift areas like the cheeks, tip of the nose, and jawline
  • Smooth bony-looking or aging hands
  • Fill overstretched earlobes

If you have volume loss in any area, there is generally a dermal filler that can meet your needs and help you reach your treatment goals. The Juno Aesthetics team can explain the different filler options and help you choose the right one during your consultation.

How long do fillers last?

Juno Aesthetics offers a very wide range of dermal fillers, each with their own results and longevity. These include:

Hyaluronic acid fillers

Juvéderm® and Restylane® are the most common hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers. They mimic a naturally-occurring acid in the body. They can restore volume anywhere on the face or the backs of hands.

Each type of hyaluronic acid filler has its own line of options for different areas and needs, and you can mix and match fillers. Results last from three months to two years*.

Calcium hydroxyapatite filler

Radiesse® is made of calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA) spheres suspended in gel. This filler works by helping you make new collagen and reinforcing your natural collagen structure from beneath your skin.

Radiesse is ideal for deep facial wrinkles and hands because it lifts and volumizes effectively. It lasts around two years*.

Poly-L-lactic acid filler

Sculptra® is made of biocompatible poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA). It works by stimulating your body to make new collagen, so results take some time to appear. Sculptra can effectively treat volume loss such as deep wrinkles and facial folds.

Sculptra is also used in nonsurgical face-lifts, rhinoplasty, and butt lifts. Results generally last two years*.

When administered with the expertise of the Juno Aesthetics team, you can expect beautiful, natural-looking, and long-lasting results from your dermal filler treatments.
